(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The United Nation`s newly appointed top envoy in Iraq, Jan Kubis, has visited the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali in the holy city of Najaf.
Kubis was honored to visit the holy shrine of the Commander of the Faithful, expressing his pleasure with the cultural and heritage antiquities in the vicinity of the shrine and describing the atmosphere as "Spiritual, sacred and faithful".
It is noteworthy that on February 24, 2015, UN`s Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon appointed Jan Kubis (Slovakian) as the new top envoy in Iraq after former envoy Nikolay Mladenov.
